Slovenian soprano Tea Trifković began her musical journey at the age of six with piano lessons. Since 2004, she has received numerous accolades at national and international piano competitions. From 2011 to 2015, she studied piano at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana under the guidance of Prof. Duša Avbelj. Her vocal training began in 2010 at the Ljubljana Moste-Polje Music School, where she studied with Prof. Saša Čano.

In 2015, she enrolled at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden (HfMDD), where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Voice and Master’s degrees in Opera and Solo Stage Practice under Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann.

Throughout her career, Tea Trifković has been recognized with several awards, including:

  • 2nd Prize at the International Singing Competition “Giulio Perotti” (2017)

  • Young Talent Award at the 11th International Singing Competition Gut Immling (2019)

  • 2nd Prize and Golden Diploma at the Slovenian National Competition “Temsig” (2019)

  • 2nd Prize at the International Duschek Competition (2019)

  • Finalist at the prestigious Cesti Baroque Singing Competition (2020)

  • Finalist at the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang (2022)

She has performed with esteemed orchestras such as the Orchestra Theresia, Bad Reichenhaller Philharmoniker, Mittelsächsische Philharmonie, and the Robert Schumann Philharmonie. Notable solo appearances include concerts at the Slovenian Philharmonic, Hugo Wolf’s birthplace, and a televised recital in Kragujevac, Serbia.

Tea continues to refine her artistry through masterclasses with distinguished artists and pedagogues including Brigitte Fassbaender, Riccardo Mascia, Cornelia Helfricht, Hedwig Fassbender, Christiane Iven, Stefano Gibellato, Snežana Stamenković, Axel Bauni, and Martina Zadro.

Her first operatic debuts include the role of Morgana in HfMDD’s studio production of Händel’s Alcina, and Rosine in Offenbach’s Ein Ehemann vor der Tür at Opernhaus Chemnitz. During the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, she was a member of the Opera Studio at Theater Chemnitz. Since the 2023/24 season, she has been a soloist in the Theater Chemnitz ensemble, where her roles have included:

  • Sacerdotessa in Verdi’s Aida

  • Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen

  • Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel

  • Adele in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus

  • Olympia in Offenbachs Les contes d’Hoffmann

Biografi

Die slowenische Sopranistin Tea Trifković begann ihre musikalische Ausbildung im Alter von sechs Jahren mit Klavierunterricht und wurde seit 2004 mehrfach bei nationalen und internationalen Klavierwettbewerben ausgezeichnet. Ihren ersten Gesangsunterricht erhielt sie ab 2010 an der Musikschule Ljubljana Moste-Polje bei Prof. Saša Čano.

Ab 2015 studierte sie an der Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden, wo sie ihr Bachelorstudium im Fach Gesang sowie zwei Masterstudiengänge in Oper und Bühnenpraxis Solo bei Prof. Hendrikje Wangemann abschloss.

Im Laufe ihrer Karriere wurde sie mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet, darunter:

  • 2. Preis beim Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb Giulio Perotti (2017)

  • Nachwuchspreis beim 11. Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb Gut Immling (2019)

  • 2. Preis und eine Goldene Plakette beim slowenischen Bundeswettbewerb TEMSIG (2019)

  • 2. Preis beim Internationalen Duschek-Wettbewerb (2019)

  • Finalistin beim renommierten barocken Cesti-Wettbewerb (2020)

  • Finalistin beim Bundeswettbewerb Gesang (2022)

Sie trat mit namhaften Orchestern wie dem Orchester Theresia, der Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonie, der Mittelsächsischen Philharmonie und der Robert-Schumann-Philharmonie auf. Solokonzerte führten sie u. a. in die Slowenische Philharmonie und ins Geburtshaus von Hugo Wolf; ein Konzert in Kragujevac (Serbien) wurde live im Fernsehen übertragen.

Ihre stimmliche und künstlerische Weiterbildung vertieft sie regelmäßig in Meisterkursen bei renommierten Lehrenden wie Brigitte Fassbaender, Riccardo Mascia, Cornelia Helfricht, Hedwig Fassbender, Christiane Iven, Stefano Gibellato, Snežana Stamenković, Axel Bauni und Martina Zadro.

Erste Opernerfahrungen sammelte sie in den Rollen der Morgana (Alcina) in Hochschulproduktionen der HfM Dresden und Rosina (Ein Ehemann vor der Tür) am Opernhaus Chemnitz.  In den Spielzeiten 2021/22 und 2022/23 war sie Mitglied des Opernstudios am Theater Chemnitz. Seit der Saison 2023/24 ist sie festes Ensemblemitglied des Hauses. Dort übernahm sie u. a. die Rollen der:

  • Sacerdotessa in Verdis Aida

  • Frasquita in Bizets Carmen

  • Gretel in Humperdincks Hänsel und Gretel

  • Adele in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus

  • Olympia in Offenbachs Hoffmanns Erzählungen
